I published a post where I declared my new year’s resolution a couple of weeks ago. Just a day or two later, I started feeling lousy. I then spent all my time off around Christmas feeling gross and sorry for myself.
I’m feeling better now. I’m back to my normal routine which helps me a lot when it comes to things like diet and exercise. I don’t have to worry about having a house full of candy and Christmas baking because I’ve eaten all the crap that people have given me (although I still haven’t gone through all the wine I received as gifts). I’m scheduled to teach my classes at the gym this week, and I’ve got plenty of spare time to do some yoga and lift some weights. What’s more, now that I’m not feeling sorry for myself, I won’t be spending money to cheer myself up. That’s something I do when I’m not at 100%.
Anyway, I’m going to pick up where I left off with my new year’s resolution. Essentially, I want to be leaner in 2023. I want to stop eating everything in sight, and I want to feel as if the debt that I’ve been carrying since I became underemployed back in 2017 isn’t weighing me down.
Just like a new moon, the day that the sun conjoins your natal sun is a good time to make a fresh start in a new direction. My birthday isn’t until Friday, but the transiting sun moves into orb with my natal sun tomorrow evening. For that reason, I’m going to get an early start on my astrological “new year.” The solar return can be a powerful day. The same thing can be said for the day that the sun enters an individual’s first house. It’s wise to turn your focus to the future when these cosmic events occur.
So that’s what I’m going to do. Wish me luck!
