I’m ready for a change in the cosmic weather. My eleventh house corresponds to Virgo because it fits almost exactly over top of the sign using the Placidus system of house division. In fact, it’s the part of my chart where the house cusps and the sign cusps match up closely enough for me to evaluate the different house systems as the planets transit that part of my horoscope: approximately 29° Leo to 27° Virgo. If I were to use whole sign houses, this section would correspond to my twelfth house, and not even someone as loquacious as me could describe how wrong that would be.
Anyway, my last day of work was July 30, so having all these planets in my tenth house has made me feel a little worthless while I wait to hear back about a job that I figure I’m going to get. I’m trying to exercise some of my innate Capricorn patience while I wait, but it is difficult for me to be technically unemployed (even though I’ve only missed three days of work once my accumulated vacation pay/severance pay is factored into the equation). I’ve done a ton of work around my house and yard since my job ended, and I’ve being continuing my study of yoga in the meantime, but it’s just not in my nature to putz around. As a Capricorn, I identify with my work more than I should — even when I’m totally underemployed — so I hope that I get a job soon.
Even if I don’t get back to work in the next four weeks, I’m entering a time of the year that is typically more social and more enjoyable for me. As a kid, I couldn’t wait to go back to school this time of year because it meant being around my friends all the time. That doesn’t sound like something that someone undergoing a twelfth-house solar transit would be eager to do, right?
So, I’m just going to resolve to enjoy this brief respite from working while it lasts, and I’m going to take advantage of the sociability that should accompany these eleventh-house transits. Hopefully, this job that I’m waiting to hear about works out so that I don’t have to spend the following month in a drunken, self-pitying spiral of depression as the planets move through my twelfth house. I’m kidding, sort of . . .

Wow! This post from last year seems quite evergreen today. Has nothing really changed in my life since last year at this time?
