I published a post a couple of days ago where I declared that I was going to try to take care of myself this weekend by hiding away in my dark basement as often as possible. The reason for that was the sun’s annual opposition to my natal Saturn occurring on the heels of Mars’ opposition to my natal sun.
Anyway, I did exactly what I said I was going to do. Except for showing up for a couple of short shifts at my two part-time jobs, I hid away from the world for the most part.
I feel quite a bit lighter today. This annual alignment between the sun and my natal Saturn is like a wet blanket on me, and I struggle to get out from underneath it. Thankfully, it’s a short-lived transit, and I can typically just escape into my own little world for a day or two until the heaviness of this aspect subsides. On a lighter note, this transit is always followed by the sun’s annual trine to my natal sun. It’s a delightful counterpoint to the sun’s opposition to the ruler of my sun sign, and something that I’m looking forward to over the next couple of days. In fact, my forecast looks quite good for the rest of the year — not heavy at all.
It’s good to be able to see these events coming so that I can prepare accordingly. I can thank my lucky stars and a decade of blogging about astrology for that.
