Kelly Cutrone (source: Digiday)

November 13 is Kelly Cutrone’s birthday.

I didn’t care for Kelly Cutrone as a judge on “America’s Next Top Model.” In fact, the publicist entered the scene at about the same time that the show became sort of intolerable. I could blame Cutrone for not being as delightfully straightforward as Paulina Porizkova, as charmingly pompous as AndrĂ© Leon Talley, or as memorable as Miss J. Alexander, but it was Tyra who sabotaged her own show with her epic self-importance. Kelly Cutrone was just in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Still, she is sort of a bitch. That is very evident in her natal chart. She is a Scorpio with an Aquarius ascendant. It’s a combination that often makes an individual take themselves too seriously. I’ve met a few people with the same combo and they have struggled to laugh at themselves. To be honest, it may not be the astrological opposite of my character in theory, but it is the opposite of my character in practice. I’m a self-deprecating goofball more often than not. I can’t imagine how bleak my life would be if I wasn’t goofing around constantly.

This Scorpio sun/Aquarius rising combination endows an individual with a serious, probing nature tempered with innate skepticism. People with this combo are often great at what they do if they can find something that consumes them. However, it also closes them off to alternative viewpoints. They often feel as if their own ideas are so progressive that anyone else who doesn’t follow the same line of thinking must be intellectually challenged. Off the top of my head, a few celebrities who share the combination (if their birth times are correct on astrotheme.com), are Whoopi Goldberg, Jenny McCarthy and Roseanne Barr. Sylvia Plath also had a Scorpio sun/Aquarius ascendant. Yikes!

Anyway, I don’t want to claim that these individuals are completely humorless, but they do take themselves too seriously. On the other hand, they probably think that I’m an idiot who knows nothing about astrology.

I suppose that I can live with that.
