I just realized that Venus will spend its next retrograde cycle entirely within the borders of my first house. It enters that part of my chart on August 25, and it remains there until December 20.
I’m quite content with the direction of my life at the moment. I keep telling myself that I should work more, but then I come to my senses. I’m not sure if that will change once Venus takes up residence in my first house, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it does. The cosmic blessings just keep coming this autumn.
However, I can be a little too decadent at the best of times, so I am worried about giving into my pleasure-loving nature. “Café Astrology” alludes to this in its interpretation of the annual transit:
“You could find it hard to deny yourself anything during this cycle! This is a time when you naturally let loose your softer, receptive side. Romantic matters, as well as pleasure-seeking activities, come to the fore now. You are more likely to pay closer attention to your physical appearance and mannerisms, aiming to improve and enhance your attractiveness. Others find you agreeable and cooperative.”
On the bright side, both Mars and Jupiter will be transiting my tenth house throughout autumn, so my self-discipline shouldn’t be compromised. That makes me believe that I can make the most of out this four-month Venus cycle. In the meantime, I’m just going to keep doing what I’m doing. Having a variety of jobs instead of one full-time position that sucks the joy out of my life is good for my soul. As the saying goes, “I want for nothing” at the moment. I don’t expect that to change in 2026. Seeing this Venus transit horizon makes me believe that even more.
Things are good in my own little world . . .
