Energy (source: pexels.com)

My energy levels have picked up over the last few days, and I’m grateful for that. I’m normally an energetic person, but my vigor can be impacted by my stressors — whatever those stressors may be.

Anyway, I was thrilled to read the interpretation of Mars’ imminent ingress into my ninth house on “Café Astrology” because it specifically addresses the topic of “energy.” The passage reads as follows:

“During this period, you are especially enthusiastic and more bold than usual. Some restlessness and hunger for adventure is experienced now. Essentially, you are looking to expand your activities, and you may find that you have a lot of energy for higher studies, travel, or simply new subjects. Negative potentials include being excessively opinionated or getting easily fired up over differences in points of view, or legal fights.”

While the “energy” referred to seems to be focused on a few topics associated with the ninth house, I do often feel as if my physical exuberance is heightened when Mars travels through any of the three houses of the horoscope ruled over by the fire signs. I’m looking forward to the kick in the pants that this transit promises.

However, I’m not looking forward to being “excessively opinionated” because I really would like to focus on building bridges with others right now instead of burning them down. I’m lucky that my eleventh house will be highlighted by other planetary transits while Mars inhabits my ninth house. Both Venus and the sun will be shining their light on the part of my chart connected to my social life and social media, so it’s unlikely that I’ll spend the next eight weeks as an online troll.

It’s also unlikely that I will remain as introspective as I have been once Mars exits my eighth house, leaving Uranus as the only planet taking up long-term residence that sector until well into 2027. I’d like to be a little more “out there” in the foreseeable future, and this transit should urge me to focus my energy outward.

This shift in the stars couldn’t have come at a better time. I usually loathe the dog days of summer, but things feel different this year. This old dog is ready to enjoy the cosmic weather for a change.
