Star Struck Style

I’m republishing this post because Jonathan Saunders was just appointed as the Executive Creative Director of Kate Spade New York. I’m encouraged by this news because Saunders is a Scorpio, like Stuart Vevers of Coach. Both labels form a larger company called Tapestry. While Kate Spade hasn’t been the name on everyone’s lips for quite some time, Coach has been on a roll with Vevers at the helm. Also, Saunders has had success taking on the lead at a Capricorn-founded brand once before when he was the Chief Creative Officer of Diane Von Fürstenberg. Kate Spade was also a Capricorn.

It’s nice to see some of these designers that I adore finding a place in the spotlight again, like Jonathan Saunders, Christopher Kane and Olivier Theyskens. Maybe I’ll be inspired to write more about fashion astrology again — stranger things have happened. In the meantime, I’m just going to look forward to a day when I can appreciate the creativity that inspires the world of fashion again without loathing the business of fashion.
