Star Struck Style

This is going to be an interesting week for me. My progressed moon is just about to form an opposition with my natal Venus. Both planets are personalized in my chart, so I should probably take this rare alignment a little more seriously than I took the progressed moon’s opposition to my natal Mars. That aspect occurred in mid-June right around the time that my two new bosses were hired. Nevertheless, I did heed the advice of “Café Astrology” that I posted here, and things worked out pretty well for me.

The same site has an interesting interpretation for the progressed moon’s opposition to Venus:

“Deciding who or what truly pleases may be a puzzle right now, as what’s available may not feel quite right and what seems perfect doesn’t seem to be on the market. That’s a temporary situation, however, as what fails to satisfy in the short run may be just the ticket down the road. Avoid hasty internal conclusions.

Your romantic and social life is apt to be in a state of change now — perhaps even challenge. Adjustments need to be made; there will be changes in plans at the drop of a hat. Not a good time to buy or sell real estate as a rule, if you can help it. Dealings with the public are not likely to be a piece of cake — you’ve got to be on your toes.”

Yet as this aspect is occurring, the sun is also conjoining the progressed moon in my tenth house. That aspect is interpreted as follows:

“Expect a bit of an ego boost for a while, as your one-two Sun-Moon punch is right in tune in your Sun sign. So for the moment you may be best off putting your eggs all in one basket where you can take advantage of big steps forward without dividing your energies. Presenting a solid front is easy and puts you ahead of the game.”

And that means that the sun will also be opposing my natal Venus:

“Ego reactions to feeling underappreciated are quite possible now. This is not the best time for ego stroking on social and romantic levels. You may not appreciate how others are handling you just now. Pushing it won’t solve any problems. In fact, lonely or frustrated feelings that might arise now are likely a reflection of your own inner discontent. Getting in touch with what is making you feel down could help you to solve problems now. This is not the best time to ask for what you want.”

These competing predictions give me a lot to think about! I do know that I am going to be called upon to do more than my fair share of work this week. Perhaps I just need to divorce myself from my feelings for a bit while I become the businesslike Capricorn robot that people sometimes believe I am. Forcing issues or appearing overconfident will likely backfire on me right now, and assuming that I can’t do damage to longstanding personal relationships during this time will probably be a mistake.

So, I’m just going to go about my business as usual. I’ll be okay just as long as I don’t try to make a power play this week. I was honestly planning to sit down with my new boss to ask for a raise! I think the universe is telling me to save that conversation for another day.
