April 16 is Max Beesley’s birthday.
I love an unintentional comedy, and that is why the film “Glitter” holds a special place in my heart. Of course, I knew Mariah Carey’s zodiac sign, but I just stumbled across Max Beesley’s sign while looking up today’s celebrity birthdays. What’s even more interesting is that Da Brat’s birthday was just a couple of days ago.
I can’t think of another movie where three Aries actors share the top billing. I also can’t think of another movie where the three top-billed actors are all so terrible.
To be fair, Max Beesley is the most-talented of the trio when it comes to acting. I know that he didn’t work much after “Glitter,” but I see that he has become a fixture on television in recent years. Mariah Carey also redeemed herself when she appeared in the film “Precious.” I don’t know if Da Brat has a critically-acclaimed performance under her belt yet, but I did see her on an episode of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” just a couple of weeks ago. She looked good. Prison didn’t break her.
Anyway, knowing that these three Aries natives collaborated on this project goes a long way to confirming my theory that Aries individuals ruin everything. I’m kidding, sort of . . .
