Hillary Rodham Clinton (source: ABC News)

October 26 is Hillary Rodham Clinton’s birthday.

First of all, I am not an American. I may have an opinion regarding American politics at the moment, but that shouldn’t matter to anyone. I don’t live in the USA, I don’t vote in the USA, and I really can’t feel that much compassion towards Americans at the moment as I watch them eat each other alive. So if you have a comment about this post that has something to do with anything besides fashion and astrology, keep it to yourself. I won’t post it.

However, I am an astrologer who sometimes notices the weirdest things in people’s charts. For instance, I had never looked up Hillary Clinton’s chart until just a moment ago. I wasn’t that surprised that both Mercury and Venus are positioned in Scorpio along with her sun, but I was surprised to see that she also has Scorpio rising.

I don’t always remember everything about every chart I discuss, but I do know that Diane Keaton also has a Scorpio ascendant because I’ve discussed her horoscope with a fashionable friend of mine who has a nearly identical chart. The weird thing that jumps out at me is that these three women all share a penchant for pants. In each case, they have become synonymous with a signature style that includes trousers.

Of course, there are other women whom I associate with pants, like Katharine Hepburn, so as soon as I became aware of the revelation I just discussed, I looked up her chart. Guess what her rising sign is? I know, right!

In both of my books, I have discussed Aries as the sign that “wears the pants.” In “Star Struck Style,” I do mention that Scorpio women (and women with Scorpio rising) often share that characteristic with Aries natives because of their shared ruling planet, Mars. Still, it’s weird to discover something like this. I’ve been doing this for a long time, and I’m still learning more and more every day.
