Star Struck Style

Just as the sun moves into orb of its first conjunction with Uranus since the outer planet moved into Gemini this week, transiting Venus will conjoin my ninth-house natal moon in Cancer. “Café Astrology” describes the annual alignment as follows:

“Your mood is especially romantic and sensual. Let it guide you, and you might just find yourself in a very fortunate situation. This energy is excellent for any behind-the-scenes or domestic activities. It’s an opportune time to make domestic purchases and to buy or wear new clothes for the first time. Beauty treatments are favored. This is a time when praise or compliments naturally come your way, when you receive friendly greetings, and when you might extend a hand to others you care about. Aiding someone financially or spiritually is bound to boost your own spirits.”

Although I don’t really need to be encouraged to buy new clothes, I do have my eye on one of those fancy red-light apparatuses that help boost the collagen production in your skin that I saw in one of the locked cases at my local Marshall’s. I’m going to watch for it to get marked down even further because barely anyone who visits that store knows anything about the pricier items that arrive there. They often go through a couple of markdown cycles before someone like me snaps them up. In the meantime, I can just give myself another mud masque while I continue to compare myself to all the other people my age. Looking better than everyone else feeds my soul.

But I digress! I do have a couple of days off just as these heavenly bodies align. I do believe that if I end up spending any money it will be on bedding plants for my garden. This morning’s frost should be the last of the season in this frigid part of the world I call home. Still, it would be nice to receive some sort of financial boost or unexpected praise. I did apply for a new job yesterday. Maybe an interview is in my future? That would be a great thing to happen while it’s my time to shine.

Whatever is on the horizon for me, I’m looking forward to the big changes in the sky this week. Mercury enters Gemini, Mars enters Taurus, Venus enters Cancer, and the sun enters Gemini. I feel revitalized already by yesterday’s new moon and the Mars/Chiron conjunction. With all these other changes in the zodiac, I already feel like I’m experiencing “a very fortunate situation” without even trying.

Good vibes are in the air in my universe. Maybe I’m delusional, or maybe things are really starting to go my way. I guess I’ll find out soon enough . . .
