I’ve been biding my time for a while, waiting for an opportunity to arrive that could put me on a new career path. I’m not unhappy doing what I’m doing at the moment, but I would like to do something else. I’d like to make more money, I’d like to receive employer benefits again, and I’d like to have a little more control over my working environment. At the same time, I don’t know if I want to work a forty-hour week again, so I don’t know if I’m going to get everything I want if I do find a new job.
Nevertheless, I was looking ahead to see if anything significant would be occurring in my chart over the next couple of months. I already knew that Jupiter would reenter my tenth house at the end of May. Venus follows about a week into June and subsequently conjoins Jupiter in the part of my chart associated with ambition, status and career. What I didn’t realize is that June’s new moon is conjunct my natal Jupiter in my ninth house by mere minutes on June 14.
All these alignments bode well for me, especially if I’m interested in making a major change. For that reason, I’m going to keep my eyes open for something new to come along. Over the last year or so, I’ve trusted in my ability to be adaptable, and I feel as if that has served me well. I’m happier and healthier than I was thirteen months ago when I resigned from my full-time job, and I’ve reduced my debt load substantially while making way less money than I was making before. Still, I’d like to make more money. I can see that happening in the not-too-distant future with the way the planets are lining up.
So, that’s what I’m going to focus upon this coming June. In the meantime, maybe I’ll give my resume a once-over just to give prospective employers a better idea of who I am. I might be nearing retirement age, but that doesn’t mean that I’m not open for business . . .
