Just a few hours ago, both the sun and Venus entered Scorpio. In a week from now, Mercury will join them there. The day before that happens, Jupiter will backtrack into Pisces. All of a sudden, the zodiac will become very watery.
I suppose that’s why I illustrated this post with a photo of a lobster instead of a scorpion. They’re both arthropods, after all, but only one of them lives in the water.
Anyway, this watery energy will mark a genuine change of pace from the airy month we just experienced. What really interests me, however, is that once Jupiter moves back into Pisces, not one of the planets will be in a fire sign. This has been a somewhat normal state of affairs over the past year. Clicking onto the color-coded “Current Planets” home page on astro.com in 2022 has been interesting because the color red that represents the fire signs has been curiously absent for much of the year.
So, what does that mean? For some of us, it might have been difficult to muster up passion for anything over the last several months. That won’t be any different over the next few weeks until the sun, Mercury and Venus shift into Sagittarius. Many individuals will turn inward during this cycle as they attempt to figure out what gets their juices flowing. The new moon in fiery Sagittarius in late November coincides with Jupiter’s return to direct motion, marking a time to spark a flame. If something has been missing in your life, this new moon on November 23 could represent the best day of the entire year to rediscover what gets your blood boiling.
In the meantime, allow yourself to delve into your inner world now that Scorpio season is here. Intensity of thought will be a theme over the next few weeks, along with self-exploration that leads to profound revelations. Take a deep dive into what makes you do the things you do while you still can. As 2022 draws to a close, introspection will be the last thing on your mind.
