January 31 is Trinity K. Bonet’s birthday.
Season 6 of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” is probably my all-time favorite. I’ve gone back and watched it over and over again.
I’m glad that I did because I probably wouldn’t have grown to love Trinity K. Bonet if I hadn’t been reminded of her finest moments on the show. In my mind, they were sort of overshadowed by her self-defeating behavior. I guess it bothered me as much as it bothered Bianca Del Rio.
Anyway, Trinity is an Aquarius, like Shea Couleé. I suppose that bodes well for her since she is rumored to be a contestant on “All Stars 6.” I’m excited to see if she’s evolved since she first appeared on RDPR. She’s got the goods to go all the way, and I can’t wait to see what she brings to the competition. Her lip sync to “Whatta Man” by En Vogue is one of the best I’ve ever seen on the show.
Most Aquarius natives who have done well on “Drag Race” have been somewhat flexible in their idea of what drag is. The few that have done poorly have exhibited the inflexibility that defines them as members of one the zodiac’s fixed signs. Because Aquarius is a weak position for the sun, I often look to other planets to see just how “Aquarian” an individual is. Trinity has her natal moon in Leo (another fixed sign), further weakening the Aquarius sun. She also has Jupiter in Leo opposing her sun by just a couple of degrees. Those factors might make her less of a textbook Aquarius, but they do also ensure that her resistance to change was written in the stars.
However, she also has Mercury, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and the north node in Capricorn. If anyone can come back from a half-assed showing to take the crown, it’s someone with major Capricorn influences in their horoscope. This chart tells me that Trinity K. Bonet learns from her mistakes. She doesn’t learn quickly, but she does learn.
I do hope that the rumor that she is coming back is true. Like I already mentioned, the more I got to know her, the more I liked what she brought to the show. In the words of her Season 6 castmate, Jocelyn Fox, that could make her the “black horse” of the competition. At least that’s what her chart tells me!
