Reading my post from last year on this day reminded me that I resolved to learn to say “No!” last November. While I’m not sure that endeavor was entirely successful, I’m going to try to put the “No” in this November once again.

One thing that happens right around this day every year is the sun’s square to my natal Mars in a couple of the fixed signs. It can be a grouchy, combative aspect, so I understand why I am compelled to stand my ground and/or argue with others while the planets are lined up this way. Other than that, though, I’ve usually got plenty of good things going on in my chart throughout the autumn and winter.

For that reason, I don’t believe that this regularly-occurring, short-lived feeling of irascibility is what I should be focused upon, but rather the longer-lasting astrological phenomenon that gives me the self-confidence to tell people what they may not want to hear.

Maybe I’ll start a trend with my negativity. Just imagine what the world would be like if people had just learned to say “No!” to Donald Trump . . .
