June 9 is Ossie Clark’s birthday.
I discuss Ossie Clark in depth in “Star Struck Style.” The funny thing is that I really didn’t know that much about him when I wrote “Cosmically Chic” and got hired at “Teen Vogue.” My editor at that magazine was another Gemini: Amy Astley. I didn’t know it at the time, but Astley dresses like she just walked out of Ossie Clark’s studio in 1969: the year that she was born.
