April 17 is Widow Von’Du’s birthday. I know I’m a day late with this blog post, but Victoria Beckham couldn’t wait!

Anyway, there are still three Aries contestants in the running on Season 12 of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” (Jackie and Crystal are the other two). Widow Von’Du was in the bottom two last night, but she saved herself from elimination with another terrific lip sync performance.

She’s got talent, so it’s too bad that she’s such a bitch. Seriously, she is the worst sort of contestant. When she isn’t bashing her fellow queens both behind their backs and to their faces, she’s off feeling sorry for herself. There hasn’t been someone as obnoxiously less self-aware on this show since The Vixen appeared on Season 10.

Don’t get me wrong: I love rooting for the villain. Raven was the most true-to-type Aries queen to ever compete on this show and she is one of my all-time favorites. But she also didn’t spend half her time blubbering about how poorly she was doing in the competition.

I had a look at Widow’s natal chart. She has a Virgo moon which goes a long way to explain her inability to see the image she is presenting to others. Without a rising sign, I can’t really say much more about her horoscope. I’d like to be able to explain her behavior, though. I can’t imagine having everything it takes to win this competition and then being derailed by pettiness and insecurity.

I don’t believe that she’s going to make it to the finale. However, she is the sort of contestant who could come back and clean up on “All Stars” if she bothers to learn from her mistakes. I would love to see that. Everyone loves a redemption arc, including me. I just don’t think it’s going to happen this season . . .
