Park MGM (source: Haute Living)

Venus entered my fifth house a couple of days ago where it will remain until February 4. My horoscope on astro.com describes the transit as follows:

“This influence signifies an appropriate time for fun, entertainment, having a good time. Your self-discipline may be at an all-time low during this period, but everyone needs a break from time to time, so enjoy yourself. Just make sure not to overdo it. You can relate well with children now, and this is a good time for games and fun. It is not conducive to serious work or discussion with them, however, because you may not want to be serious, yourself. Love relationships in general are also favored during this time. You will get along smoothly with loved ones without feeling that you are surrendering your identity. This influence makes it possible for others to enjoy you being exactly yourself. There is no need to pretend to be what you are not.”

Fun, entertainment and having a good time sound good to me, but I’m going to have to be careful because I’m going to Las Vegas in exactly two months from today and I need to save some money.

I’ve booked a package at the Park MGM where there is a huge Eataly at the entrance of the hotel. I’m going to be so fat when I get back home!

Anyway, it’s minus 36°C where I live right now (and even colder with the windchill), so sticking close to home and enjoying myself won’t be a problem. Both the sun and Mercury have entered my fourth house, and Saturn is about to follow, so maybe I won’t have such a difficult time staying in while Venus is compelling me to “overdo it.”

I sure hope so. If I can make it through the next three weeks, I should able to make it to Vegas with a few bucks to spend. Wish me luck . . .

Venus enters my fifth house tomorrow afternoon. I published this post in 2020, two months before the pandemic began, and just a couple of weeks before I contracted shingles. I do have another trip planned to the Park MGM, but it’s not until September. In the meantime, maybe I should take advantage of this influence and try to enjoy myself a little more.
