A weird weekend is on the horizon. Mercury and Venus are traveling together in Virgo. Just as they form a conjunction in the last degree of the sign, the full moon in Pisces occurs. While all of that is going on, Mars in Virgo is opposing Neptune in Pisces.
So, what does all that mean? The desire to evaluate and/or criticize ourselves and those around us will be a recurring theme this weekend. For some of us, our critical faculties will be sharpened. For others, our self-delusions will be grand. For a few of us, both experiences will be occurring simultaneously.
The Mercury/Venus aspect that focuses our critical eye occurs in the final degree of Virgo. If that degree is highlighted in your natal chart, it can be a very positive transit if it results in self-evaluation. It’s a good time to look in the mirror because your mind will not be playing tricks on you. Try on clothes, or go shopping for cosmetics. Your ability to see what the rest of the world sees when they look at you will be in sync.
Of course, there needs to be a disclaimer to go along with that advice. If 29° Virgo forms squares or oppositions to your sun or ascendant, the opposite is true. Or if the full moon at 21° Pisces is negatively aspected in your chart, you might not be seeing what the rest of us see. The Mars/Neptune opposition at 17° Virgo/Pisces might wreak even more havoc on the psyches of people who have that degree highlighted in their natal charts. Essentially that opposition translates as “action meets self-delusion.” It’s the sort of thing that could have you saying “What do you mean that this weekend is not a good time to get a tattoo of a snake on my face?”
So, my advice is to have a look at your own chart in order to see if any of the degrees I’ve mentioned are negatively aspected (forming squares or oppositions) to personalized planets in your own chart. Some of you will have no idea what I’m talking about, and that’s why you should visit a professional astrologer and have them explain these things to you. In the meantime, maybe you ought to reschedule that haircut or rethink that boob job. Major mistakes are in the stars for the next four days or so.
