It’s been a busy week in the news for astrologers and non-astrologers alike. One of the headlines that I haven’t discussed yet is Uranus’ retrograde slip back into Aries where it will put an exclamation point on its journey through the sign.
From now until March, expect to revisit many issues that have caused you to have a knee-jerk reaction. Over the past seven years or so, you probably have learned to react in a manner that is reflexive: when someone hammers you, you kick back. Social media has created a world where our innate aggressive tendencies are put on display for the world to see.
Uranus in Taurus has tempered that somewhat. Facebook and Twitter have recently been held accountable for what happens on their platforms. However, with Uranus making it’s last stand in Aries, there are plenty of people out there who are still eager to stir things up. I believe that things are going to get worse before they get better.
So, what are you supposed to do while all this is happening? Avoid the knee-jerk reaction. Stop for a moment and consider that what you post online has the potential to live forever in the ether of the cyber world. Ask yourself if you would express yourself the same way to someone who was right in front of you. If Uranus in Taurus has taught us anything, it’s that we fight a lot differently when we have our boots on the ground.
Don’t succumb to your worst impulses. Don’t react. Don’t give your enemies the opportunity or the ammunition to fire back at you. You had almost seven years to learn that lesson. Don’t put yourself in the line of fire because you believe that having the last word means that you’ve won the battle.
