A new moon in Virgo occurs tomorrow afternoon in this part of the world. Along with all the other action in the zodiac, that makes this a busy weekend.
The new moon marks a moment when a new plan can replace an outmoded or unworkable plan. It may be the ninth new moon of the year, but it’s significant because Virgo is the sign of plans. It’s where careful consideration replaces impulse and instinct.
I’m old, so I’ve seen many new moons in Virgo. Every one of them signifies an opportunity to reset and refocus from the “unspeakable horror” of the four weeks that preceded it. Yet this particular new moon is a little different because it’s happening roughly at the same time as Venus and Mars are changing signs and Saturn is finally going direct. After a relatively stagnant summer, the cosmic weather is changing quickly.
So, take advantage of this opportunity to put the first two-thirds of 2019 behind you. Don’t be paralyzed with fear if things start to change around you, either. A side effect of yesterday’s Sun/Neptune opposition might be a creeping sense of paranoia that nothing will work out as planned. It rarely does, but that shouldn’t stop you from looking to the future.
