The new moon in Gemini arrives in a couple of hours.
This new moon occurs about a degree-and-a-half off my natal Jupiter in my ninth house. I suppose it would be a good time to resolve to broaden my horizons. Maybe I’ll start with a Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen film retrospective. Or maybe not . . .
For most of us, the Gemini new moon marks a great time to begin a new communication strategy. Now I didn’t even know that a communications strategy was a thing, but a few years ago I was on a board of directors when the idea of a communications strategy came up at a meeting. I asked why it was necessary to have a plan. The answer surprised me. I was told that it would ensure that board members would communicate in an effective manner, like responding to emails and phone calls from other members.
I was sort of dumbfounded. Was it really necessary to tell adults that responding to inquiries from other adults was the responsible protocol to follow when communicating with them? I guess it was.
Anyway, today is a good day to resolve to be more straightforward in your own communications. Make a strategy to say what you mean and mean what you say. And if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say it at all . . . or take up smoking like the Olsen twins so that you have something to distract you from your flapping gums.
Don’t ever try to tell me that I don’t give you the greatest advice.
