Venus enters Cancer today and the sun enters Gemini tomorrow. It’s a good time to choose your words carefully. Venus in Cancer inspires us to be defensive, while the sun in Gemini inspires us to say what’s on our mind. For some of us, that can lead to defensive behavior and verbal tirades when we ought to clam up.

You know who has the sun in Gemini and Venus in Cancer in his natal chart? Donald Trump. I know, right?

Until May 29, Mercury remains in Taurus, making it a little easier for most of us to keep our thoughts to ourselves. “If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say it at all” has been our collective mantra for a few weeks, making the people who have had something awful to say seem even more heinous than before. But that changes once Mercury joins the sun in Gemini. Through June 13, there will be a two-week period where we will benefit from sitting back and letting the loudmouths do themselves in. The cruel intent of their words will not go unnoticed.

It’s going to happen, but only you have the power to decide if it’s going to happen to you. You can clam up or you make a fool of yourself by attempting to defend the indefensible.

So, what are you going to do?

This post from 2018 describes a similar situation to what we’ll experience over the next couple of weeks. The sun in Gemini will be flanked by Venus in Cancer and Mercury in Taurus. Once again, “letting the loudmouths do themselves in” might be the best strategy for most of us to follow. The wildcard, however, is Mars. The red planet moves into bold Leo this weekend. People who live to sing their own praises might be in an even worse dilemma.
