Rachel Roy & Beyoncé (source: Us Weekly)

January 15 is Rachel Roy’s birthday.

I had no idea that Rachel Roy is a Capricorn. That’s interesting to me because the fashion designer is also rumored to be “Becky with the good hair” from Beyoncé’s song “Sorry.” Just a few posts back, I wrote about Beyoncé’s Capricorn parents. Her daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, is also a Capricorn. It made me wonder why there are so many of us goats in Beyoncé’s life.

So, I looked up her chart. I didn’t find an answer to the question I posed, but I did find myself fascinated by what I saw. Beyoncé has Venus almost exactly conjunct her Libra ascendant. In fact, her birth time is listed as 10:00 AM on the dot on astrotheme.com, so I can assume that it is an estimate. Still, I believe that the chart reveals the correct placement because it puts Venus in the twelfth house by just 4″. It’s a more wishy-washy placement than Venus in the first house, despite Venus being in it’s ruling sign.

And why would I believe that Beyoncé is wishy-washy? Well, she didn’t kick Jay Z to the curb when he was rumored to be having an affair with “Becky with the good hair.” So many things in her natal chart are strongly-placed (including Venus in its dignity Libra, a Scorpio moon and Mars elevated in Leo), and a twelfth house Venus is about the only thing that indicates a conciliatory nature. In the first house, it would indicate a character who possessed enough emotional security to dump someone who was cheating on her. Someone with Libra for a rising sign might be forgiving in most instances, but in theory she should also pair up quite instinctively and demand exclusivity in partnerships.

I suppose I should be talking about Rachel Roy, but I never really cared for her designs when she was showing at New York Fashion Week, anyway. Plus, who cares about the cheaters? Why in the world is it so hard for people in committed relationships to commit to one another. I just don’t get it. I guess that’s my Libra rising talking!
