December 19 is Peter Dundas’ birthday.

A week ago, I posted some yearly forecasts for 2017. I try not to dwell on the negative when I’m writing horoscopes, but I’m sure that a couple of the entries came off as anything but sunshine and roses. The Sagittarius horoscope in particular was quite miserable because Saturn is slowly trudging its way though that sign.

I believe that Sagittarius natives have the most difficult time of all signs when it comes to handling a two-and-a-half-year Saturn transit. For a Capricorn like me, the influence of the planet seems constructive. It allows me to slowly but surely build structures in my life that have genuine permanence. For a Sagittarius, the influence of the planet is inhibitive. It can make members of that sign feel as if things aren’t moving quickly enough, or that factors beyond their control are conspiring to keep them from reaching their potential. It counters the optimism and expansive nature of Jupiter with a dose of depressing reality.

Yet Saturn’s influence is ultimately productive. I know that Peter Dundas has had a less-than-stellar 2016. Like his astro-twin, Giles Deacon, he’s probably seen better days. But for both of these guys, the way they deal with their current circumstances will set a tone for years to come. Late in 2017, the progress they’ve made will start to reveal itself as new opportunities seem to fall from the sky.

It might not seem like it now, but Peter Dundas’ star is rising. It’s got nowhere to go but up.
