It’s not Dorinda Medley’s birthday. How do I know that? On last night’s episode of “The Real Housewives of New York City” the girls met up at Dorinda’s house in the Berkshires for a Christmas party that just happened to overlap with Dorinda’s birthday. There was a cake from Dorinda’s mother that read something like “Happy Birthday, Dorinda.”

So why is Dorinda included on today’s birthdays on dlisted.com. Probably because she’s included on famousbirthdays.com, the shittiest source for accurate celebrity birthday information on the web!

As an astrologer, I look up celebrity birthdays on a regular basis. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve run across inaccurate information on the aforementioned site. Plenty of celebrities themselves are to blame because they don’t do anything to correct the misinformation. Some even take pride in the fact that they don’t share their birthdays with their fans. I saw Mia Whatsherface from “Alice in Wonderland” on a talk show claiming that she believes it’s important to keep information like that to herself. It’s your birthday, not the CVV number on the back of your credit card!

Anyway, as I’m writing my new book, this is a source of endless annoyance for me. It’s bad enough that I can’t find the birthdays of some famous designers, but even worse that when I find some of them, I discover that the sources are inaccurate. Occasionally, I get lucky and people correct me before I have the chance to spread any more misinformation. A friend of Giles Deacon once emailed me to let me know that he is a Sagittarius, not an Aries. A friend of mine texted Jonathan Saunders to find out his birthday while we were bouncing emails back and forth. So if I post something that seems to contradict famousbirthdays.com, it’s because I’ve actually got an inside source. Accuracy means something to me.

Just in case you’re wondering, my birthday is January 6/66. It’s easy to remember because I was born on the sixth day of sixty-six. Just think 666 and you’ll think of me!
