Star Struck Style

I found myself staring at jet trails yesterday, wondering if I’ll ever go on another Vegas vacation. When I was still working at my full-time job, I used to do that all the time. Knowing that I was going to be getting away a couple of times a year was the only thing that kept me going.

Anyway, I’m not planning a getaway at the moment. In fact, I’m quite content knowing that I’ll be sticking close to home over the next several months. In between the the time that the Americans go to the polls and the time that the newly elected representatives take their oaths of office, a whole lot of shit can hit the fan south of the border. I’m still not convinced that it’s safe for a guy like me to travel to the USA; I literally have a photo of my “8647” shirt pinned to my profile on Bluesky. I’m not kidding when I admit that nothing in the world would make me happier than the demise of Donald Trump.

On the bright side, I really do believe that I’m going to have it easy for a while. My chart looks terrific well into next year. I just posted about transiting Jupiter’s long-lasting sextile to my Libra ascendant. Just as that aspect separates, Jupiter moves into a sextile with my natal Jupiter. “Astrodienst” describes that transit as follows:

“This is a time of balance and equilibrium in your life, when all your affairs seem to run smoothly and without much effort on your part. It is a time when you can relax and take it easy for a while, knowing that your life is in good working order. This is also a time when growth seems to occur without much effort – growth in consciousness, in your social life or wherever you feel that personal growth is important.

But this is not really a time when you should just enjoy yourself. You should do that, to be sure, but you should also be examining your life to see what needs to be done. It is important to think this way now because the equilibrium that is characteristic of this period enables you to look about yourself with reasonable calm and detachment. It is much harder to achieve a perspective when you are in the middle of some major and possibly chaotic change.

This is a good time to achieve perspective in all possible senses of the word. It is a good time for education, either formal or informal, for getting in touch with yourself through self-awareness studies, or for seeing the larger world through travel.

Business transactions or negotiations are also favored now. Legal affairs also usually run quite smoothly.”

That’s a wonderful forecast, especially on the first day of fall when the sun just entered Libra. “Equilibrium” was already on my mind because I was just looking at how the upcoming retrograde cycles of both Mercury and Venus will have those planets parked in my Libran first house for much of the new season. Having a healthy balance between work and play has made the last eighteen months of my life so much better than it was when I was working too much. Going to Las Vegas as a way to relieve stress was an expensive way to get away from it all.

Right now, however, I don’t need to go. I’m feeling fine, and this well-balanced forecast makes me believe that I will continue to feel this way for quite some time.
