Star Struck Style

The last few days of work at either of my jobs has made me think about how much more reliable I am than almost everyone else I know. With the sun about to enter my Capricorn-ruled tenth house, my “sturdiness” is on my mind. Even while transiting Mars is approaching a square to my natal Saturn, and transiting Saturn is approaching a square to my natal sun, I’m still showing up and getting the job done. In the meantime, many people around me are behaving like spoiled children.

Oh well! Sometimes I believe that it is my lot in life to run circles around others. That probably isn’t going to change once the sun moves into my tenth house where it will team up with Jupiter for the next few weeks. “Café Astrology” describes the transit as follows:

“For the next month or so, the Sun illuminates your career and reputation sector. More than any other time of the year, your focus is drawn to your ‘place’ or standing in the outer world, and your reputation. This is the time when you are more interested in, and focused on, accomplishing something important. Your competency is something that you are especially sensitive to during this cycle. You want to shine. Your vision is practical right now, and you want to see tangible results for your efforts. More contact with authority figures is likely during this period. Recognition is likely to come your way whether you ask for it or not, and the responsibility that comes right along with it! Do what you feel is right, keeping in mind that you are at your most visible during this period in the year.”

I’m not sure that I’m going to be seeking out recognition for my contributions, but I do know that both of my employers need me now more than ever. At the moment, I’m not sure that I want to take on any more responsibility, but maybe that will change when the sun conjoins Jupiter at the end of the month. Until then, I’m going to work on all the other things that make me feel surefooted and solid as a rock. Just keeping up with the demands of everyday life without feeling like I’m falling behind is often enough for this old goat.

And on that note, I need to get off this computer . . .
