Ease (source: pexels.com)

“At ease with yourself” is the title of my daily horoscope for tomorrow on astro.com. The passage that describes transiting Venus’ annual opposition to itself reads as follows:

“This can be a very pleasant time. You feel at ease with yourself, benign and rather self-indulgent, which is fine as long as you don’t have work that must be done. You feel that there is nothing you do not deserve, and you are likely to buy some expensive pastime only to regret the cost later. Love relationships will normally be smooth during this time, although a problem may arise if you have a disagreement with a loved one or friend. Instead of defending your own position when you have a perfect right to, you may compromise on issues that really should not be compromised. If you have a difficult negotiation to transact, avoid doing it during this time. The negotiation may succeed, but the results may not be to your advantage.”

I am feeling quite content this morning. I suppose that has much to do with the sun’s conjunction with my natal moon as it does with my ruling planet’s opposition to itself. Nevertheless, I’m eager to take it easy this morning. All of things that made me feel uneasy last week seem like a distant memory. The sun is shining, the birds are singing, and I’m happy to put my feet up while I enjoy my morning coffee as I look forward to a couple of days off from work.

The best thing about this Venus transit is that it puts me in the right frame of mind to make the most out of the sun/moon aspect. That annual conjunction signifies new beginnings, and I’m happy to enter this new phase feeling as if I don’t need to make unrealistic demands upon myself. Transiting Saturn’s current sextile to my natal Venus is also contributing to my mood, making me feel easygoing and nonconfrontational. I don’t recall a time in recent memory when the ruling planets of my sun sign, my moon sign and my rising sign were in such a harmonious configuration.

And on that note, I think it’s time for me to get off this computer and find somewhere else to put my feet up . . .
