Yesterday, I published a post about Viktor Orban’s election loss in Hungary and how it made me feel less distraught regarding current events. Last night in Canada, Mark Carney’s Liberal party secured a majority government by winning three byelections. His main rival, Pierre Poilievre, was handed a historic loss. Both Orban and Poilievre share their Gemini sun signs with Donald Trump. Does that mean that Trump is headed for a historic loss in the not-too-distant future? I sure hope so!

If he does lose, I’ll be able to hold my nose and visit Las Vegas again. I boycotted America during the first half of Trump’s first presidency, only to return after he lost the midterms and his power was constrained considerably. If the American voters hand the Democrats the house and the senate this November, I could see myself returning to Vegas next February or March.

Of course, there are no guarantees in this scenario because anything can happen between now and then. Still, there’s a glimmer of hope in my own little world this morning that has me feeling like things might actually work out in my favor.

I’m usually quite optimistic this time of year because of the change in the weather, but this feels different. Mercury enters Aries in a couple of hours from now after a long stay in Pisces, so maybe I’m anticipating this shift to a more forward way of thinking. Whatever it happening, I’ll take it. As I’ve mentioned on this blog a hundred times before over the last several months, it feels good to feel good, and I feel good this morning.

Keep it coming, universe!
