I don’t know what it is about stock images that makes me laugh, but they do. They’re just so fucking cheesy!

Anyway, Venus enters my sixth house for an eighteen-day stay tomorrow morning. Things have been going my way at work lately, and there’s no reason to believe that anything will be different in the foreseeable future. “Café Astrology” offers the following prediction for the annual transit:

“During this time you will find it necessary to subordinate your desire for amusement to the needs of the present. In your relationships it may be necessary to confront difficulties that you have not handled earlier. Sometimes problems in relationships arise when tacit agreements are not clear to both partners. This is a good time to discuss those agreements openly. This influence is good for all matters relating to your work or profession. During this time you should enjoy good relationships with both superiors and employees. You understand how good interrelationships make it all work well. You are willing to work with others to resolve any difficulties that may arise. You may gain financial or other favors, quite unexpectedly, from your employer.”

That all sounds terrific, but what makes this transit even better is that I’ve got a week off right in the middle of it. I’ve made arrangements so that I will be well-staffed while I’m away, but my absence always makes my superiors understand just how much I do to keep the place running smoothly. What’s even more exciting for me is that I had already planned to ask for a raise. This forecast makes me believe that my request will not fall upon deaf ears. I might wait until I’m back from Las Vegas, however, to make my case with my supervisors. We have a meeting on the day that Venus moves into my seventh house. Curiously, that’s that same day that retrograde Mercury conjoins Venus on my seventh-house cusp as the planet briefly slips back into my sixth house. Not only that, but the sun conjoins my part of fortune at almost the exact same time. And my chart is supported by all the other interesting things happening in the sky on that day. It’s quite uncanny.

I’ll let you know how everything works out . . .
