Spring arrives this afternoon where I live, followed by a new moon in Aries tomorrow morning.
This new moon will occur in my sixth house. That part of my chart is currently filled with planets; Mercury, Chiron and Jupiter are there already. For that reason, I’m going to focus on the sixth-house subject of organization during this annual event. I’ve got a bunch of things to sort out at work before everything falls apart, so there’s no time like the present to get my shit together.
“Café Astrology” offers this interpretation for this meeting of the luminaries:
“The New Moon in the sixth house heralds a time when new diet regimes, healthy routines, and satisfying work schedules can be successfully initiated. It is a time of taking care of business, handling details, and increasing your efficiency by re-organizing or simply by working enthusiastically at tasks that help you get caught up in your work. It is also a good time for analysis of any sort, as critical thinking is now at its peak. This period is marked by a desire to sort things out, but also to be useful.”
While my place of work is the sole source of stress in my life (more specifically, my boss at my place of work), I do take a great deal of pride in making my department run like a well-oiled machine. I can focus on that in order to distract myself from my problems — or at least I hope I can. Or maybe I’ll just find something else to do. This is also a good time to “take my talents somewhere else,” as I’ve been threatening to do. A job hunt is favored, especially with Venus in my seventh house and Jupiter about to move there in a few days from now.
In the meantime, I should probably do some yoga to get myself into a different headspace, even if that is just a temporary solution. I do feel as if my “healthy routines” have been messed up far too much over the past few weeks, and my regular yoga schedule has been anything but regular.
Curiously, this is the first of two Aries new moons that we’ll experience over the next thirty days: an astrological “blue moon.” The next one will occur in my seventh house, so perhaps I will be able to work on repairing my strained relationships, or maybe even building new relationships at another job. In either case, I’m eager to embrace the cardinal energy of this pair of astrological events. There has been far too much wishy-washy, mutable energy in my life lately. This change in the cosmic weather is as welcome as the spring sunshine on my face when I step outside my house.
