Black Rabbit (source: Wikimedia)

When I was a kid, we had a black rabbit that looked just like this one. His name was Thumper, and he would thump the bottom of his hutch with his back feet when he was excited.

Anyway, the ceremonial start to the Chinese new year arrives tomorrow afternoon in this part of the world when the new moon occurs in Aquarius. The official start of the water rabbit year (also known as the black rabbit year) isn’t until February 4 when the sun reaches 15° Aquarius and the Chinese tiger month begins.

I’ve all but given up on the daily Chinese astrology forecasts I used to read because they just didn’t seem accurate to me. However, I do still believe that my day, month and year chart does provide me with a fairly accurate character analysis. For that reason, I haven’t given up entirely on the alternative astrological system. I just need to find someone who is writing accurate horoscopes that resonate with me to change my mind about the veracity of Chinese astrology as a predictive tool.

If anyone has any suggestions that might point me in the right direction, please let me know in the comments section or on one of my social media sites. This cow, cow, snake could use your help.
