Today is my birthday and I woke up to discover that I won $100 in last night’s lottery. What a great start to my new year!

Two days ago I published a post where I mentioned that I was feeling confident about sticking to my new year’s resolution. Since then, I’ve had a couple of really good days. Everything feels better in my life after a brief bout with a virus that had me feeling sorry for myself. Since I wrote that post, I’ve revisited my blog post from last year where I shared my year-ahead forecast from “Café Astrology.” Wow! In retrospect, I can honestly say that it was eerily accurate. For that reason, I’ve decided to share the site’s forecast for my upcoming year.

“Café Astrology” uses a mix of astrology and numerology to come up with these predictions. Whatever they’re doing, it works! Anyway, here’s what the site has to say about people who are celebrating their birthdays today:

I cannot be more thrilled about this prediction considering that my professional life has taken a turn for the better — never mind that I’ve got a ton of action happening in my sixth house both by planetary transits and by secondary progressions. The forecast goes on to include the following passage:

“2023 is a Number Five year for you. Ruled by Mercury. This is a year of discovery and freedom. It’s a time when exploration and reaching out to others brings opportunities. It’s a good time to advertise, promote, and sell. Surprises are in store, and the routine is broken for the better. This is a year when exciting relationships can be formed; or, if you are already in a partnership, new life is breathed into the relationship. Advice — explore, look for adventure, keep your eyes open for opportunities, diversify, mingle.”

Again, I am encouraged by the advice offered on this site, especially now that I’ve seen how last year’s forecast accurately reflected the year I just had. I was ready to quit my job last year at this time, and now I’m making 50% more money than I was just a few months ago. In addition, I’ve been the sort of responsibility that allows me to ensure that I’m the one making decisions about the day-to-day operations that most directly affect me. I don’t feel as if I’m under the thumb of someone who isn’t paying attention to everything that is going on in the world around them. It’s liberating!

So, things are off to a good start already. As I stated in my new year’s resolution, I’m just going to keep moving up the mountain like a Capricorn should. It’s onward and upward from here. And next time I win the lottery, it’s going to be the big one!
