Career Girl (source: pexels.com)

I’ve been exploring the photos available on Pexels lately. It’s a free service that is included with my WordPress subscription. Anyway, stock photos almost always make me laugh. Just look at that fresh-faced, young go-getter! She has no idea that Kathy from Human Resources just spit in the leftover Pad Thai that she left in the staff fridge in one of those Lululemon shopping bags that reads “Friends are more important than money.”

Anyway, I’m wondering what my own career has in store for me this week. In September, I started my new job just as Mars moved into my ninth house. It’s been there ever since because of its current retrograde cycle. This week, it moves back into my eighth house for about three months!

Since I started in this new position, I’ve felt as if I was required to hit the ground running without adequate training and sufficient support staff. Maybe I’ll be able to get my shit together while Mars is returning to the part of my chart where I laid the foundation for the career I currently have. The eighth house is associated with Karma, and I believe that I am owed a huge Karmic debt by the organization that employs me. Right now, I can see that they are reallocating resources in a manner that will help me. It’s been a long time coming.

I’m going to pay attention to this retrograde cycle in general, but I’m going to focus even more specifically on the actual ingress of Mars into my eighth house later this week. As my previous post about the north node indicates, I’m often dazzled by events that occur when planets are literally hovering over my house cusps. Maybe something major is going to occur. Then again, Mars isn’t personalized in my horoscope. Perhaps this transit will be less profound than I am anticipating. I suppose I’ll find out soon enough.

Stay tuned for more updates, and more random descriptions of stock photos. I’m sure you’re all eager to hear what Kathy from Human Resources is going to do next!
