Here’s a photo of the Aria Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. I might stay there the next time I go to Las Vegas. I already spend a lot of time there when I visit, but I haven’t actually booked a hotel room at the mega-resort.
Anyway, the reason I’ve got the Aria on my mind is that Venus is about to enter my second house for a four-week stay. I can be awfully decadent when Venus is traveling through my second house. I want to be around nice things. For that reason, I can spend a little too much money feeding the hedonistic part of my personality. “Café Astrology” provides me with a warning about my desire to have “more things” around me in their interpretation of the annual transit:
“As the natural ruler of this sector of the chart, Venus feels right ‘at home’ here. This is a rather content position for Venus, although there can be some restlessness when it comes to money and spending it — you are more inclined to want more things around you! Financial security and enjoyment of the good things in life are important to you, although you also value simple pleasures. The ability to relate well with others might enhance your own personal finances during this period. You may find yourself in a position in which there is a blending of financial matters with social or public affairs. This is a stable position for love matters and close relationships. You value those who make you feel comfortable, and familiarity is more important to you than someone new during this cycle.”
To be honest, I’d rather focus on the notion of “financial security” at the moment, and I hope that I don’t get distracted by shiny objects over the next few weeks. American Black Friday is coming, and if there was one thing that the universe knows about me, it’s that I can’t resist a good sale!
I’m going to try to keep it together because I finally feel as if I’m making a dent in my debt load. The next time I go to Las Vegas, I should be in a position to really enjoy myself. Perhaps I won’t feel like an imposter hanging around in a place as posh as the Aria. Don’t get me wrong — I always feel as if I fit right in when I’m in such beautiful places. I’d just like to feel a little richer the next time I visit. If I resist the Venusian urge to spend my money before I make it, this all might work out for me.
