Star Struck Style

I got back in town last night after escaping to fabulous Las Vegas for the past few days. Highlights of my trip included visiting the Tom Ford store and actually buying something. I know, right?

Anyway, I didn’t really pay attention to New York Fashion Week while I was on vacation. However, I did click through the Tom Ford show a moment ago. Of course, I love this cowboy-inspired shirt. Just like Tom Ford himself, I have a fascination with Western-wear that evokes memories of my childhood. As I write this post, I’m sitting here in a T-shirt from Nudie’s Rodeo Tailor.

But I digress! I did have a wonderful time in Vegas and I can’t wait to go back. I really needed a getaway, and my shoulders and neck are already letting me know that I made a wise decision to get some rest and relaxation before I start my new job on Monday. I have another week off in October to put my garden away for the winter. If I do a lot of yardwork before the ground freezes up, I can take a week of vacation in springtime to visit Las Vegas again before the weather gets hot. Earlier this year, I spent a week of my vacation time catching up in my garden and doing the things that I should have done the previous October.

I guess that I’m planning ahead like the Capricorn I am. Right now, the sky is full of planets in earth signs making positive aspects to my earthy natal planets. This practical energy feels just right to a guy like me. When I’m done catching up on my laundry, I’m going to spend the last two days of my vacation doing even more practical things. I’m even going to take the American money that I didn’t spend in Las Vegas to the bank and put it on my credit card to pay for my purchase at the Tom Ford store. Then I’m going to go buy a ton of healthy groceries so that I can try on more things at the Tom Ford store without feeling like I’m going to bust out of them.
