Star Struck Style

Venus opposes Saturn this afternoon where I live. Curiously, I woke up this morning doing math in my head, wondering what I would be able to afford when I go shopping in Las Vegas in a couple of weeks.

Venus and Saturn are the two most important planets in my chart and I feel transits between the two of them quite acutely. Of course, Saturn has been more influential lately, and I have been quite disciplined with my money since I booked this trip back in January. I got an incredible deal on the flight, I used my reward points with the airline to save even more, and my hotel is not only comped because of my ongoing relationship with MGM resorts, but I have a big resort credit to spend while I’m in Sin City.

Nevertheless, I spend money like an idiot while I’m there; that’s kind of the point. I live a very Saturnian existence so that I can have these Venusian episodes.

Once I get back, I am going to try to focus upon getting my finances in order. I’m already on the right track, and if I don’t go crazy with my credit cards during my vacation, I’ll soon be in a good position to substantially reduce the amount of money I pay to service my debt. After a bout of unemployment/underemployment combined with a global pandemic, I’m eager to get this monkey off my back.

Hopefully, I’ll be able to control myself once I get to Las Vegas. If I can make it back to Edmonton without putting anything else on my credit cards, I’ll be thrilled with myself. Wish me luck!
