Juno (source: Mythopedia)

Venus conjoins Saturn in Aquarius this afternoon. Of course, that conjunction occurs at least once a year. However, this year the aspect is occurring with the asteroid Juno in the mix.

“Cafe Astrology” offers a terrific interpretation of this triple-conjunction:

“With Venus conjunct Juno and Saturn today, we seek equal, fair, and balanced connections, and we’re taking our relationships or social life very seriously. There can be a stronger inclination towards togetherness and sharing, creating harmony, and sharing power. We’re seeking to align our goals, plans, and responsibilities with our close relationships. We may gain an advantage in business or finances or by promoting peace. We’re more thoughtful about our attachments and affections. When it comes to finances and relationships, we may need to limit a pleasure or indulgence or sacrifice a material benefit for a spiritual one (or vice versa). Extravagances have a way of catching up with us, and buckling down is necessary. Still, we’re inclined to feel good about making a mature choice now. We may be experiencing a new sense of realism in our relationships. This can also be a time for bonding more strongly with loved ones by sharing responsibility, concerns, or dilemmas. We might face reality about our finances, a personal belief, or a love/social matter. We might commit, or there can be a ‘test’ of sorts to an existing commitment. Today’s Aquarius Moon hooks into this energy as it aligns with Venus and Saturn.”

That’s a lot to process, especially for someone like me whose ascendant is ruled by Venus, whose sun is ruled by Saturn, and whose natal moon is personalized by its placement in Cancer. I’ve got a lot going on in my chart today!

I’m going to keep my eyes open to see if anything interesting occurs as a result of these transits. I’m also going to do a little research into Juno because I have never really made a deep dive into the asteroid’s influence. The idea that the heavenly body rules over give and take in partnerships is especially prescient considering that my blog post yesterday was about how I constantly feel as if my strong work ethic is exploited by my superiors. Curiously, the job I applied for that I’ve been mentioning lately stopped taking applications on Friday. Today is the first day that whoever is in charge of the hiring process would start considering the qualifications of the candidates.

Thankfully, I’ve got the day off to do all this because of my dentist appointment later this afternoon. I couldn’t have chosen a better day to be away from work. I need to spend my time figuring out the direction I want to go now that the world is opening up again in the wake of the pandemic, and now that all of these planets are ascending in my chart. I am truly experiencing a “new sense of realism” at the moment, especially concerning the idea of “give and take” in my relationships, and I’d be a fool to let this day go by without taking a deep dive into its astrological significance.
