Yesterday was my birthday. I had reblogged a post and planned to write another about my year-ahead forecast on “Café Astrology,” but WordPress was malfunctioning and not allowing me to edit my posts. I gave up eventually because I had to get off the computer and go to my massage appointment (which, by the way, was a perfect way to spend my special day).
This morning, I was able to retrieve yesterday’s reblogged post, and everything else appears to be working well. So, I’ll revisit the aforementioned predictions offered by my favorite meat-and-potatoes astrology site.
The section begins with a passage that describes someone born on January 6:
“Exceptionally hard-working, your work means the world to you, and if you don’t choose a career path that truly reflects your goals, you are unlikely to be very happy! You are a list maker, an organizer, and a person who loves order, even if you don’t always feel you are orderly enough. You are at your best when you have a goal in mind. You are loyal and somewhat of a perfectionist. As peace-loving and security-minded as you are, there is a decidedly stubborn and argumentative side to your personality.”
Check, check and check! I’ve been in this game long enough to see how an interpretation of Capricorn characteristics has been blended with birthdate-based numerology to craft a character profile like this. It’s also interesting to me that I came across this section on the site at a time when every second post on this blog has to do with my desire to find a new job.
My forecast for the year ahead also touches upon some topics that have been especially relevant to me recently:
“You are likely to be on top of your game this year for the most part, and positive connections with others can be made fairly easily. A comfortable level of personal popularity helps to keep conflict to a minimum. With the ability to handle your emotions successfully, there is less stress on both your mind and body.
This can be a year in which you are building faith and confidence in your personality, skills, and talents. You can experience a stronger desire to seek out meaning, wisdom, and mental stimulation in your life during this period. Others might frequently turn to you for guidance.
You are taking more pride in your relationships this year, and it’s a good time to strengthen and support others, as well as to build trust. This can be a pleasantly ambitious period.
It’s an excellent year for advancing projects revolving around communications — writing, speaking, selling, and so forth. Word of mouth can enhance your reputation. Making new contacts through learning and mental pursuits figures strongly as well.
Nevertheless, traditional methods work for you this year, and thoroughness brings rewards at this period in your life. Practice or refining a technique is favored this year. Modest ambitions and the appreciation of slow but steady progress can take you far. There is a wonderfully practical influence on your chart this year, and it helps you get a significant part of your life organized, orderly, and tidy.
A beautiful influence in your chart supports more beauty and harmony in love, and special attention to imaginative pursuits and pleasures. You’re opening to more imagination, romance, or magic in your social life.
There may be a breakthrough in a love relationship or a deeper understanding or connection with someone special. Your attachments are pronounced now, and you tend to seek deeper, richer contact. There could be a stronger sense that you must let something go in order to move forward.
Relationships are mutually beneficial and naturally equal, fair, and balanced in the period ahead. There can be a stronger inclination towards togetherness and sharing.
Uranus transits in harmony with your Sun from May 2022 forward. Your personality is sparkling during this period, and you’re sure to attract new circumstances and people into your life. Exciting changes and new interests characterize the period ahead. It’s easier than usual to express your unique individuality, and if this involves changing careers or jobs, a new love affair, or an entirely new hobby, it’s something that takes you forward into unexplored territory.
Summary: You can be turning over a new leaf this year, and cooperation comes more easily. Relationships evolve and reward you this year. You’re determined and hard-working, but you’re also making a lot of room for personal enjoyment and exploring your creativity. It’s a strong year for getting organized or tidying up an area of your life.”
I’m pretty happy that this forecast meshes so well with some of the resolutions I’ve made for myself already on this blog. Now, if I could only find the time to sit at this computer to write without distractions, I could also feed my need to create something of value: the one thing that has been missing in my life since the pandemic began. Living in a place that has virtually become someone else’s home office has been difficult on me. Perhaps that will change in 2022, as well. I’ll thank my lucky stars if it does!
Anyway, I’m encouraged by this prediction. Hopefully the new leaf I turn over won’t be covered with spider mites or mealy bugs. 2021 was better for me than 2020, and I would be thrilled to see that upward trend continue. As a wise man once said, “It’s about fucking time!”
