“A dominant personality” is the title of my astro.com horoscope for tomorrow, describing Mars’ ingress into my first house.

I already believe that I have a dominant personality, although I also believe that I have the discretion to know when asserting dominance over others is worthwhile. I’m not an Aries, after all.

Anyway, I’m thrilled to be feeling a little more “dominant.” The aforementioned horoscope describes this almost six-week period as follows:

“This should be a time of great activity in your life, when you work very hard to further your own interests and assert yourself among others. You have the chance to show the world what you can do now. You come on to others with much more vigor than usual, and you are likely to make a great impression upon them at this time. During this time, your personality is much more dominant than usual, but you aren’t interested in having great power over others, as long as they don’t try to dominate you. You are perfectly happy as long as you are completely free to do whatever you want and to have your individuality acknowledged by others in whatever you do. Your physical energy level is quite high, and you should be able to do a lot of work.”

That’s a big change from how I’ve been feeling with both the sun and Mars simultaneously transiting my twelfth house. However, retrograde Mercury has actually slipped back into that sector of my chart, tempering my urge to tell everyone what to do. I suppose that’s a good thing because I don’t want people to think that I’m bossy. I’d rather make suggestions to them to help them use their time more efficiently instead of simply telling them what to do. In that respect, I’m still a Capricorn through and through. I believe that this current configuration of planets will allow me to be in charge without actually being the boss, if you know what I mean.

That’s a good thing, because I’m not really interested in being in a position of power at the moment. I’m more interested in putting on some of the wonderful clothes I never to get to wear and getting out into the world where I can be seen. My trip to Las Vegas can’t come soon enough! I also don’t think it would be a wise idea to wear a chain harness through the metal detector at the airport right now. I’ll save that until Mars moves into dirty, dirty Scorpio.

Soon . . .
