November 25 is Braunwyn Windham-Burke’s birthday.
I was the first person to report the “breaking news” that Braunwyn Windham-Burke is a Sagittarius. She actually let me know her zodiac sign on Twitter when I put the question out into cyberspace. The same thing happened last week when Whitney Rose of the “Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” responded to a comment I had left on D’Andra Simmons’ Twitter feed. Many of these “Housewives” are eager to play along with their audience on social media until they discover what a bunch of judgmental assholes there are in the world. Have you met Denise Richards’ fans?
Anyway, I liked Braunwyn from the moment that she first appeared on the “Real Housewives of Orange County.” While I don’t believe that I watched every episode of her debut season because Vicki was still around, I still saw enough of Braunwyn to understand that she was born to be a reality TV star.
Since then, she has virtually saved RHOC for me. I’m enjoying the current season and that is something that I haven’t been able to say for as long as I can remember. I’ve started to warm up to Emily and Gina, and Elizabeth is just the right kind of weird to make this show more interesting. Kelly still bugs me, though, because she’s such a boor and a terrible example of how a Libra native should behave, and Shannon took up the challenge to be the most obnoxious Aries housewife on any of these shows when Vicki was shown the door. What’s interesting to me is that Elizabeth is also an Aries according to the only birthday I’ve been able to dig up. Perhaps she’ll be the “Shannon” to Shannon’s “Vicki,” if you know what I mean.
But I digress! I’m supposed to be discussing Braunwyn. It’s no surprise that she is stealing the spotlight from the other women right now because the Sagittarius stars have been front and center in the Bravo universe for the past year. A bunch of new ones have joined the different shows, and a bunch of old ones have made headlines for handing in their apples, or peaches, or whatever they happened to be holding.
I did have a quick look at Braunwyn’s natal chart, and it’s a real mixed bag. Without a time of birth, however, I can’t really jump to any conclusions about where her current story line will go. That doesn’t really matter to me, though, because I find her to be compelling regardless of whatever her horoscope might reveal. She has literally made me a fan of a show that had previously written off, and I can’t thank her enough for that.
