Venus in Libra opposes Mars in Aries this morning. It’s a short-lived aspect, but with both planets in signs over which they rule and Mars virtually stuck in the sky right now, it might be a rough aspect for many of us — myself included.
The opposition happens at 15°22, which means it forms a near-exact T-square with my Capricorn sun at 15°34. Thankfully, I saw it coming and I’m already in a defensive position to make it through this day unscathed.
The past few days have been rough on me (as I indicated in my post from two days ago). Yesterday, I decided that I had enough and I really took a day off from almost everything, including this blog. It helped me a lot. In fact, it allowed me to take my own advice from the post I published three days ago to “Shake It Off.” I’m feeling as if much of the stress that I’ve been holding onto has left my body. That might not be an ideal position to be in because I am still stressed-out mentally, but it’s a step in the right direction.
This is literally the worst week of the year astrologically, and this has been a pretty terrible year. But everywhere I look there are signs that things are getting better. I’m going to try to focus on that and clear my mind of all the garbage that has accumulated over the past several months. When the new moon arrives in six days from now, we’re all going to be on the threshold of a new era.
I’m very optimistic about what that means about my future, so this isn’t the time to dwell on the past. Venus opposite retrograde Mars might have us all feeling as if we’ve all been pitted against one another, and many of us will take any opposition we encounter far too personally, but it’s going to be over in a day or two. My advice is just to zone out and get past it. Less-challenging days are just around the corner.
