Star Struck Style

I woke up this morning to news that NeNe Leakes will not be returning to the “Real Housewives of Atlanta.” However, when I went looking for confirmation of that rumor, all I found were articles claiming that she has not yet signed her contract, so who really knows what’s going on?

Anyway, I wouldn’t miss NeNe if she chose not to return because she’s been a monster for the last couple of seasons. She’s gone from being one of my favorite “housewives” to being a real drag on the show. I don’t want to watch these women fighting all the time.

On that note, I’m really enjoying the “Real Housewives of Potomac” now that the new season is underway. There is no relationship on any of these shows that I like to watch more than the friendship between Robyn and Gizelle. Andy Cohen could show the rest of the cast the door — especially Candiace Dillard — and I wouldn’t be upset.

Candiace is a Sagittarius, like NeNe Leakes and Dorinda Medley. Sagittarius natives are not faring too well on these shows lately. For a while, it was the Gemini housewives who were getting hammered by the editors for being horrible, but the planets have aligned to make the Sagittarius stars the villains. That makes me wonder what’s in store for Garcelle Beauvais and Braunwyn Windham-Burke in upcoming episodes.

While I am paying attention, I’m not sure if that’s enough to make me return to the “Real Housewives”-themed project I had begun writing more than a year ago. After putting together a sample chapter, I began to step away from the project because I wasn’t sure that I had the fortitude to deal with the “Housewives” fans. Seriously, they can be the most obnoxious people on the internet — even worse than the MAGA crowd. Just visit Teddi Mellencamp’s Twitter account to see what I mean! I don’t want to be on the other side of their anger because I have opinions about a reality TV show.

But maybe that will change, and maybe I’ll return to that project again sometime in the future. In the meantime, though, I’m just going to enjoy watching how these women live up to the potential of their sun signs without allowing a bunch of fucking idiots to ruin it for me.
