I had a terrible sleep last night. A huge storm rolled through the city where I live, pounding the south side of my house where my bedroom windows are located. Typically, that side of my house doesn’t get a lot of rain, so the noise of a big storm doesn’t wake me up. Also, I can normally sleep through anything.
I’m sure that I wasn’t the only one who was tossing and turning, though. With Mars conjoining Neptune yesterday, I can imagine that most people felt restless yesterday, regardless of where they live or when they went to bed.
One of the side-effects of a Mars/Neptune conjunction is paranoia: the kind of paranoia that keeps you up at night. If either of those planets is personalized in your chart, you were likely worrying about things that will probably never happen. Others could have had problems sleeping because of drugs or alcohol, or even a mixture of the two.
Thankfully, this conjunction is already starting to lose its power. Tonight will be better. Tomorrow night will be even better than that. Take solace in the fact that this conjunction only occurs every couple of years. Tense aspects between Mercury and Neptune can have a similar effect, and they are slightly more common. Still, the next Mercury/Neptune opposition doesn’t occur until fall. Until then, try to get your beauty sleep so that looking at you doesn’t keep the rest of us up at night.
