Star Struck Style

Something occurred to me last night while watching the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.” Because Aquarius has been the least-represented zodiac sign on any of the “Housewives” shows, it has been difficult to make broad generalizations about how Aquarius housewives interact with their cast mates. I thought that having Aquarius native Denise Richards on one of the shows might allow me to observe the sign that I personally have a “love ’em or hate ’em” relationship with in real life.

Allow me to explain myself. I’m a Capricorn, like Kyle Richards. I’ve had a few very close friends who were born under an Aquarius sun. I’ve also known Aquarius natives that I want to murder. There is no other zodiac sign with which I have such polarized relationships. Gemini comes in second on my list, and then Scorpio (although I can admit that most Scorpio natives eventually piss me off).

But the big difference between my relationships with these signs is how much more passionately I loathe obnoxious Aquarius individuals and how much they loathe me.

I’ve seen this dynamic play out twice on “Housewives” shows: once between Aquarius native Kenya Moore and Capricorn Shereé Whitfield, and currently between Kyle and Denise. Of course, Kenya Moore fights with everyone, but that’s a topic for another post.

I expected Kyle and Denise to become friends. They not only share a last name, but they share so much more. Yet their hatred for one another is becoming palpable, and neither of them are doing themselves any favors by allowing this ridiculous feud to get out of hand.

It’s going to be interesting to see what happens when Brandi Glanville arrives on the scene in upcoming “Beverly Hills” episodes, as it has been rumored that she is the catalyst in the explosive preview footage that shows Denise turning her back to Bravo’s cameras. Brandi is a Scorpio, like Phaedra Parks. We all remember how Phaedra and Kenya got along, right?

That’s a rivalry that was written in the stars, though. This Capricorn vs. Aquarius thing is something I don’t really understand. I’m going to need to see a few more Aquarius housewives on these shows before I can figure this all out. In the meantime, I’m going to go find an Aquarius native to yell at. Do I have any volunteers?
