Agyness Deyn (source: models.com)

February 16 is Agyness Deyn’s birthday.

I had no idea that Agyness Deyn got her name from a numerologist. She was born Laura Michelle Hollins. I wasn’t even sure that I was going to profile her until I read that, but now I’m sort of curious to learn more about her. She seems like my kind of weirdo.

I punched up her natal chart (without a time of birth) and discovered that the two of us have something in common: a close conjunction of Venus and Mars. “Cafe Astrology” describes the aspect as follows:

“These people possess personal magnetism in spades. They live and breathe romantic/sexual relationships. It is generally easy for them to form relationships, unless the conjunction is severely afflicted. They ooze sexuality, and they are generally quite impulsive with regards to entering new relationships. Relationships are not only important to them, they require a fair amount of excitement, adventure, and passion in their pairings in order to feel alive and vital. With this conjunction, there is generally a pleasing blend of self-assertion and cooperation.”

Of course, my conjunction is in Aquarius, the most emotionally-detached sign, so I’m not sure that any of that applies to me (except maybe the oozing part). Agyness Deyn has her Venus/Mars conjunction in Pisces, which makes sense because she is almost always paired-up with someone — and Pisces is much needier sign than Aquarius, if you know what I mean.

Anyway, what I’ve just learned makes me want to explore my own Venus/Mars conjunction a little more because I don’t really believe that it is “afflicted.” The only close aspect it makes in my horoscope is a semi-sextile with Saturn in Pisces.

So, instead of discussing Agyness Deyn, I’m going to go figure out why she has already been married a couple of times at the age of thirty-six, and I haven’t been married once at the age of fifty-three.

Not that I was trying to get married . . .
