January 8 is Allison Harvard’s birthday.
Like her fellow Capricorn, Leila Goldkuhl, Allison Harvard has actually had some success in the fashion business despite “America’s Next Top Model.” The photo I posted above is from an international edition of “Harper’s Bazaar.” That’s nothing to sneeze at.
Not only that, Harvard had a couple of chances to succeed on the show, just like Leila Goldkuhl. She came in second place during her second appearance, but she didn’t win the title. Goldkuhl also got a second chance, only to be eliminated twice in the same season.
But setbacks like that don’t deter a Capricorn for very long. They typically take two steps forward for every step they fall back. Back when I first started studying astrology by reading Sydney Omarr books about my own sign, I remember the legendary astrologer calling us goats as the “comeback kids” of the zodiac. The symbolism was quite literal. He not only described how goats would sometimes fall in a spectacular fashion, but also how they would pick themselves up from rock bottom and climb right back to the top of the mountain.
I can think of a lot of Capricorn reality show contestants who have made spectacular comebacks. It took Boston Rob three times to win “Survivor.” It took Kevin Martin two times to win “Big Brother Canada.” Even Aja surprised me on “RuPaul’s Drag Race All-Stars” by going way farther than I thought she would after a disastrous debut in her first season.
The moral of the story: don’t ever count us out. Right Allison?
