January 4 is Olivier Theyskens’ birthday.
I was surprised to find a chart online that included Olivier Theyskens’ time of birth. However, with so many planets sitting on both sign and house cusps, I’m afraid that any interpretations I offer about the designer’s horoscope will be invalidated if the birth time listed on astro.com is incorrect. But when has that ever stopped me?
Theyskens and I have a lot in common. We both have a Capricorn sun, a Cancer moon and Venus in Aquarius. Theyskens, however, also has Mercury and Mars in Capricorn, and Capricorn rising. Both the sun and Mercury reside in the first house, and Mars is situated a few degrees back in the twelfth house.
So, what does that mean? I do believe that we’re a lot alike. The photo I posted above is from a 2018 runway show. That could have been me in the late eighties or early nineties when I was attending university and really feeling like a Capricorn while a stellium in the sign set a tone that affected fashion for years to come.
Theyskens’ chart, of course, is a lot darker than mine (which is lightened up by my Libra rising sign). Another thing to note is that the “goth” sign of Scorpio rules Theyskens’ tenth house of career, and that Uranus is conjunct the midheaven in Scorpio by less than half a degree. Also, Mars in the twelfth isn’t exactly the sunniest position for the planet.
The designer has had some major ups and downs in his career, but he seems to be on a more independent path lately — something that will be favored as we near the 2020 stellium of outer planets in Capricorn. I expect good things for him. Most of the action will not only occur in his first house, but it will occur free of any harsh aspects.
Can this Capricorn who has been on top of the fashion game reach the top of the mountain again? Maybe, but this time it will be on his own terms. Hopefully, he keeps climbing while he’s got the stars on his side.
