December 31 is Donald Trump Jr.’s birthday.
Yes, you read that correctly: Donald Trump Jr. is a Capricorn. His brother Eric is a Capricorn, too. And just when you thought that this story couldn’t get any worse, Eric shares his birthday with me. I know, right?
Now before you put your fist through a wall or reject astrology altogether and Google “how to become a Scientologist,” let me explain something about us Capricorns. We get a lot of bad press for being greedy and materialistic. I remember reading something that offended me in a Sydney Omarr book when I was a kid. It was a list of key phrases that were supposed to define the signs. For Capricorn, the phrase was “I use.”
I was offended because it was the only phrase that seemed to have a negative connotation. Who wants to be known as a user? Nevertheless, it stuck with me, and that’s one of the reasons why I try so hard to paint a picture of my zodiac sign that isn’t so bad. That’s also one of the reasons that I tend to be quite hard on Aquarius natives. I remember reading chapters in books back then that described them as nothing but peace-loving flower children in tune with the cosmos. Even as a teenager I was able to look at those profiles and say “What the fuck?”
I guess that we all have our biases; I’m not any different than the other astrologers. Perhaps the Capricorns they knew were less like me and more like the Trump brothers. I don’t spend a lot of time discussing people I don’t like, so I’m going to get to the point. I am embarrassed that they are Capricorns. They are users. They contribute nothing to the common good, just like their good-for-nothing father. A more selfish family has never walked the face of the earth.
There is something interesting in their charts, though. Both of the boys and their father have a bunch of planets and points hovering around house cusps (roughly 29° to 1° in various signs). My astrologer friend Tracy mentioned this to me a couple of months ago, but I didn’t look into it until now. With Uranus about to move back and forth over the Aries/Taurus cusp, there is potential in these shared charts for major disruption.
I hope so. The universe could do with a few less users.
